Andrew i’m building my first game. It is a Chess variant that I would like to place on the Web.i have a website hosted by Go Daddy but investigating requirements for exporting the game designed in Blender I’ve run into complications.I’m building the game interface in Blender but for the computer play i need a chess engine the good ones are built in C++. Secondly there is a GUI concern. the variant game includes two new pieces i will need to alter the engine to include this function. I’ve been referred to Fruit and Stockfish. I’m not sure which if any are the correct choice. I’ve thought about building the engine in Pygame. any help as to which direction i should take or were i can find information to assist would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi there

I search Blender Modules, which make the Game Creating more easy and read from one, that turns Blender in a Map Editor?

  • Randi Prasetyo

Just wanna share my result, thanks for your tutorial Andrew :D

I wonder when vray for blender is released, which 1 do you prefer for render engine?

Some sort of muscle modifier would be great, i know there is the shrinkwrap, but its not the same and i dont want to have all the work defining shapes and drivers to flex, then to apply cloth or soft bodies to the mesh, bah, it would be great guys. Thanks. Jules

Hi A. Are you sure proper subdivision/displacement is still on for 2.68..? In the roadmap it seams only small fixes are planned before volumetrics…

  • rowsku

Hey i have a very beginner question.

How do you make a hole in a mesh with the shape of a different mesh?

  • Konrad Prodamski

    ya sss finally

Is the UberShader going to be official released in 2.67?

I Hope Next Time..Cycles Support Volume material So We Can Make Fire That Emit Lights To Other Object Near It :/

  • Eli

Fire & smoke in cycles…. when do we get that?

      If Cycles Can Render Volume

How is it that LuxRender is able to work with AMD but Cycles is not? Of all the issues causing bottlenecks, this seems number one.

    • basroil

      “AMD/ATI

You will need an HD 5000 series or newer card, or equivalent FirePro
model. The HD 4000 series cards are not supported. This is not due to a lack of support from LuxRender, but rather a lack of proper driver
      support by AMD.”

Blender had the same issue, and now the issue is that Cycles is too far in development to break everything all over again.

A GPU accelerated unified simulation framework, like Autodesk Nucleus on steroids, would be great.

Something I would love to see Cycles pick up is Light Groups. It is a feature from Luxrender that lets one set lights into groups and switch them on and off. Effectively you could light a day and night scene at the same time but turn the sun off and the street lights on and the lighting would be correct for each.
