Big Ship On The Stormy Ocean !
    Thanks in advance :)

Hi Andrew. You should do a typed tutorial on robots, weapons, blood, cities, and pretty much movie content information. I would like to create a short film on a little guy who has to fight for his life but i only know how to create an axe and that’s definitely not enough. Thank you

Hi Andrew, I´m a young “artist” from Austria (without kangaroos ;) ) and it would be awesome if you make a tutorial of general modelling. I know that there are many specific tutorials on your site, but how I said they´re all specific on one theme. You could do a tutorial of basic modelling technics, describe what´s organic and what´s hard-surface-modelling and at the end you could show how to apply these technics on different models and problems. In my oppinion keeping it general is easier to apply technics to own models and you can learn better by yourself. But you should definitely keep it general, short and.. don´t know ;) Maybe this request is the beginning of a new BlenderGuru Tutorial-serie, I mean maybe not, but I give it a try. Hope it wasn´t to long. LG Marci

    Hi Andrew,
I was messing around on Blender today and it suddenly dawned on me how little I know about creating good wholesome outdoor mountains ranges, etc. From what I’ve seen there are a select few that give off the basics, but since you’re a very thorough and generous chap, I thought I might throw the suggestion into the pot!

    All the best,
    Sam

    Hey Andrew,
If you have ever been on the products page of blender.org you would see a product called “Blenderella” (Creative), from the looks of it it looks like it is very helpful but not worth the money. You by FAR have the BEST tutorials around, and I would highly appreciate you teaching how to make a full blown character like “Blenderella” (with bones). The reasons I would like you to do it are
    1. You have AMAZING and easy to follow in your tutorials
    2. All the other tutorials are out dated; and or have horrible video quality plus never put details in
    3. You are not an amateur
I believe you will get MUCH more traffic if you make this
    1. Because nobody really has tutorials as in depth
    2. The people who do charge for their tutorials
    3. (assuming you make this for beginners) People that are just staring like having someone that will give them exact instructions. When I was starting I tried to find good tutorials on how to make a person, sadly I never found a good one. But if you make it now a bunch of more people will be hooked on to your website.
    Think About It,
    Kieran

    Hey Andrew,

I’m just getting back into Blender and your tutorials have been a great help, so thank you a lot for that!

One topic I never see anyone discuss which is very important to the 3D artist is the DEMO REEL. How to present your work in a manner that will be pleasing and get it noticed. Tips on what kinds of music to use and not to use, or if to use any at all since many just turn off the sound when reviewing reels.

We learned a lot about this at the Vancouver Film School and I think it would definitely help get some Blenderheads out into the field. If you wanted you might even be able to contact a few game studios or animation houses and find out from them directly what would impress them on a demo reel.

Just a suggestion, I’m sure you got heaps of your own ideas, but thought this might be a good one since it is so rarely covered.

Cheers mate!!! Keep up the awesome tuts and I’ll keep watching. Would love to take the NA as well!!!

    Kind Regards,

    Matthew (Bapsis)

This would be very useful !

I’ll cut to the chase as I’m sure you’re a busy man. I have a rendering that uses alpha mapped tress and people. My problem is that when I use the compositor to finesse the colors, sharpness, and DOF the effects don’t “pass” through the transparency of the billboards. I can send an image of what I am talking about or link to a blender artist posts.

If you have time to “throw me a bone” that’d be great. If this could turn into a TUT for others to benefit from that’d be even better… BTW Huge fan! I don’t know you but am very proud of your initiative and enthusiasm regarding Blender. I hope the Nature Academy is going well – wish I could’ve participated. I also hope you’re making plenty of money – I do believe you and others like you deserve to be rewarded for your efforts and cleverness.

    Thanks, Andrew.

You gave a quick tip on how to render out the frames. How about some help on how to take it from frames to video, or at least how you are doing it.

I always get washed out images when I put it into video format. I would like to know how you put it together, maybe even how you set it up for vimeo posting.

    Hi Andrew,
I´m a student from germany and a fan of your site! I was looking for a tutorial about breaking, smashing objects when they clash with each other or hitting the ground.

A tutorial about shooting or breaking glassbottles or vases would be amazing !!!!
There no usefull tuts on the internet.

    thx Matthis
