When I *leave* Blender and try to use hotkeys that just make so much sense or zoom with the scrollwheel of the mouse in Poser and it doesn’t work I’m like : “grrrrrr, what’s *wrong* here?” …or words to that effect. And then realise I’m in Poser, not Blender.

Not sure if you guys know this but there is an app in the iTunes app store I downloaded for blender called “iKeyMaster Blender”. It has all the 2.5 keyboard shortcuts and includes a downloadable/printable keyboard map as well. Very handy app for blenderheads and I use it all the time. I simply cannot remember all the dang keyboard commands and this has helped quite a bit.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for taking the time to share such a helpful tutorial. This is especially useful with the blender overhaul we’ve been through recently. So many of the tutorials and docs out there are now out of date.

Since you asked; I think it’s good to see your face with the tutorial. It seems more natural, much better than a disembodied voice. Also, the short “making of” at the end was also inspiring. Forget the smoke, I want to go make post-apocalyptic piles of rubble!

baking is basically just pre-rendering that only needs to be done once that save time in rendering because your computer doesn’t have to recalculate it evey time.
