What’s the most frustrating thing about Blender?
Each person will have their own answer, but if you ask me it’s the user interface. There are many features in Blender that are inaccessible if you don’t know the exact keyboard function. For example, did you know that you can change the Timeline units from frames to seconds by pressing Ctrl + T? Or how you can change the sculpting brush pressure by pressing Shift + F? I could go on all day.
In fact if you scroll through the User Input section of Blender 2.5 you will find literally hundreds of possible keyboard combinations!

Where to start!?!
Unless you’re rain man the chances of you remembering all of these are slim. Some are irrelevant and rarely ever used, making it even harder to sift through them and find the one you’re looking for.
The solution?
The Blender 2.5 Cheat Sheet
This cheat sheet is a handcraft list of the most frequently used Blender 2.5 shortcuts for your reference.

Best of all? It’s printer friendly!

Simply print this cheat sheet out and enjoy stress free Blender use.

Why do I need to subscribe?
Having a list of email subscribers is very important to me because it allows me to direct my readers to new posts that I have created. Without this, all the work that I create for Blender Guru would be a waste! Hence the need for a having an email subscription list.
Now I will be honest with you and say that Blender Guru only exists because I can afford to do this fulltime through product sales. Down the line when I release training DVDs I may email you about them, but if at anytime I get too noisy you can click the ‘Unsubscribe’ link at the bottom of any of my emails. No hard feelings!

Andrew, I’m trying to get back into Blender. I signed up for your news letter, I want to dl the cheatsheet but it won’t let you do that if you’ve already registered!
Where can I get the cheat sheet? I’m at the beginning of learning Blender.
I want to download this cheat sheet, but it just keeps telling me I am already subscribed and gives me no access to download anything. Just thought I’d let you know! (I see others have too, but still no ability to download).
Thank you for all your efforts!!!
I truly am,
Grateful

Nice I think every 3d software should have one of these. To those having problems receiving this, you can make your own it’s not very hard. In fact you can use Notepad in windows or Kwrite on Linux. You could even open up the shortcut in Blender itself that lists the currently defined keys and simply hit printscreen and copy/paste/print it easily.
Hat tip for the download and cheat sheet! Very welcome for a blender newbie
Andrew, I received your auto response email but it was blank. Nada! Can’t download without the confirmation!

I was trying to re-obtain a copy of the excellent Blender cheat sheet as somehow the one I had got a year ago Adobe now refuses to opent. But it appears that I am blocked from obtaining a new copy. The link just says I’m already subscribed and nothing, so far, has appeared in my inbox. Should I simply be more patient?
Thank you for the cheat sheet Andrew.
I’m a newbie to Blender and look forward to learning.
So here I am yet another person caught by this.
In order to get it I need to subscribe, but it doesn’t recognise that I have subscribed – unless I try to subscribe again.
I’m sure there’s great stuff here, but this frustration puts me off. (and how come, if I am logged in that this thing does not know my e-mail address.?
Very good indeed, Andrew, like all what you kindly do for us. You are the best tutorial conciever, IMHO. i’ll use it often,
Nevertheless I am missing the UV editor shortcuts in your pdf.
Thank you so much !
Not sure if you guys know this but there is an app in the iTunes app store I downloaded for blender called “iKeyMaster Blender”. It has all the 2.5 keyboard shortcuts and includes a downloadable/printable keyboard map as well. Very handy app for blenderheads and I use it all the time. I simply cannot remember all the dang keyboard commands and this has helped quite a bit.
